Move-out cleaning in Plano, TX
This is the clean somebody else grades. That changes what it has to cover.
Every other cleaning service is judged by whether you are happy with it. A move-out clean is judged by a landlord, a property manager or a buyer walking the property with a checklist — and they open cabinets, ovens and refrigerators.
So the scope is broader than a deep clean, appliance and cabinet interiors are always in, and the property needs to be empty for it to be done properly.
- Appliance and cabinet interiors always included
- Floors cleaned wall to wall, not around furniture
- Scoped for a landlord or buyer walk-through
- Booked against your handover date, not ours
What it looks like
A Plano kitchen, before and after a move-out clean
The same room photographed from the same position. This is the state a walk-through is actually assessing — an empty property with nothing left to hide behind.
Note what changed: the floor to the edges, the counters, the appliance faces, and the areas that were under something an hour earlier.

What gets checked
Six things a walk-through opens first
Move-out inspections are not mysterious. They follow the same pattern nearly every time, and these are the areas that decide the outcome.
- 01
Appliance interiors
Oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. These are the first places a walk-through opens, and the most commonly deducted-for when they have been skipped.
- 02
Cabinets and drawers, inside
Crumbs, liner residue and sticky rings in the backs of cabinets. Empty is not the same as clean, and an inspector opens doors.
- 03
Bathroom build-up
Mineral scale on glass and chrome, grout lines, the toilet base, and the shower door track. In North Texas this is the area most likely to have quietly built up over a tenancy.
- 04
Floors to the edges
Perimeters, corners, behind where furniture stood, and the line along the baseboards. The middle of a floor is not what gets looked at.
- 05
Marks left behind by furniture
Scuffs on walls and baseboards where furniture sat, and dust outlines where nothing has moved in years.
- 06
The things nobody thinks about
Vents, light fixtures, ceiling fan blades, window tracks, closet shelving and the inside of the laundry connections.

Working from your own list? Our move-out cleaning checklist sets out the whole thing room by room, in the order it is worth doing.
Being straight about deposits
What a cleaning company can and cannot promise
A move-out clean removes cleaning as a reason to withhold a deposit. That is the part we control, and it is worth doing properly, because cleaning charges are one of the most common deductions.
What it cannot do is guarantee an outcome. Deposits are also affected by damage, unpaid rent, unapproved alterations, missing items and normal wear. None of those are cleaning issues, and any company promising your deposit back is promising something outside its control.
Two practical notes for Plano renters. First, check your lease for a professional carpet cleaning requirement — many require it with a receipt, and it is a separate specialist service that should happen after our visit. Second, if you find damage while emptying the property, tell your landlord before the walk-through rather than hoping it goes unnoticed.
Move-out questions
Deadlines, deposits, damage and access
The practical questions that come up when a property has to be handed over on a date.
Will a move-out clean get my full deposit back?
It removes cleaning as a reason to withhold one, which is the part a cleaning company can actually control. Deposits are also affected by damage, unpaid rent, alterations and normal wear, and none of those are cleaning issues. Any company that promises your deposit back is promising something it has no ability to deliver.
When should the clean happen?
After everything is out and before the walk-through. An empty property is the only way the full scope is achievable — floors wall to wall, closet interiors, behind where furniture stood. If the inspection is the same day as your move-out, book the earliest slot you can and tell us the inspection time.
What is the difference between this and a deep clean?
Standard and deep cleans are for a home you live in, worked around your belongings. A move-out clean is for an empty property that somebody else will inspect against a standard. The scope is broader, appliance and cabinet interiors are always included, and access to the whole property is assumed.
Do you do move-out cleaning for apartments?
Yes, and it is a large part of this work in Plano. Apartment move-outs are inspected against a specific lease standard and often have a fixed handover time. See the apartment cleaning page for how access, parking and elevator scheduling are handled in a complex.
What if there is damage rather than dirt?
We will tell you. Carpet burns, scratched glass, chipped counters, holes in walls and etched stone are damage, and cleaning cannot reverse them. Knowing about them before the walk-through is better than being surprised during it — it gives you time to decide how to handle it.
Do I need to be there?
No, as long as we can get in. For apartments, tell us how access works — leasing office key release, gate code or a lockbox. For houses, a lockbox or key handover is fine. Confirm whether utilities are still connected, because cleaning needs water and power.
Should the carpets be cleaned too?
Many Plano leases require professional carpet cleaning at move-out and ask for a receipt. That is a specialist treatment rather than part of a move-out clean. Check your lease, and arrange carpet cleaning to happen after our visit rather than before it.
Book it early
End-of-month slots go first
Move-out cleans cluster around lease ends and closing dates, so the last few days of any month are the busiest. If you have a fixed inspection time, call (469) 405-3762 and say so.
